The Village of Churchville and Town of Riga, New York are situated in western Monroe County, approximately 15 miles west of the City of Rochester. The county is in western New York State on the south shore of Lake Ontario. The picturesque Village of Churchville is located in the center of the Town and is intersected by Black Creek. Adjacent to the Village is Churchville Park, a 750-acre park which features a 27 hole golf course, an outdoor ice skating rink, playing fields, tennis courts, snowmobile trails, woods, and pavilions.

Churchville and Riga have a population of approximately 5,500. Many businesses and farms make their home here, and most are Chamber of Commerce members. We are also an exit on Interstate 490, which crosses Monroe County and Rochester, and connects to the New York State Thruway just a few miles west of the Village. The village and most of the town are in the Churchville Chili Central School District.

Churchville and Riga are close to the Greater Rochester International Airport and the Erie Canal system. We are also approximately an hour's drive to Buffalo, Canada, Niagara Falls, and the Finger Lakes region and its many wineries.

The Village of Churchville is a member of the Municipal Electric Utilities Association, a not-for-profit association of municipalities that own and operate their own municipal electric power systems. This allows the Village to provide electricity to Village residents and businesses at a fraction of the cost of commercial utilities. This inexpensive power, together with Churchville's close proximity to Canada and Buffalo, the airport, and New York State Thruway, make the area an attractive place to situate a business and live.
